features this as you can see there's two

pockets on either side you know for some

small items just a typical kind of dress

shirt pocket it also has a small pocket

right here in my opinion this is more

just to kind of create texture and the

shirt and kind of a look in the shirt

it's so shallow that you can't actually

really put anything in there but it

looks really good for for sure it looks

really good it has that's typical button

closure on the cuff typical dress shirt

styling buttons down the front again

typical what's unique with both of the

Sun shirts I'm reviewing today with this

wayward and also the astro-man coming

next is it has this the snap underneath

the collar so what you can do is you can

pup this collar up and you can snap it

closed to be honest I'm not I'm not

super crazy about this feature I don't

know if I'll ever use this but other

folks may really like this and the

options definitely there

my preference is to just wear a buff

because then I can bring that over my

head or it's it's a little more

versatile but I guess if you're caught

out in the Sun and you don't have that

this options there so you can definitely

cover the back your neck if you just

have a ball hat on like I have right now

so it has these two snaps on either side

and they kind of fold into each other

and snap closed so that'll protect your

neck if you're out in the Sun you feel

your neck starting to burn so really

great shirt has all the the styling and

detail that I've talked about in

previous videos over the years without

door research all their stuff looks

really good it's really functional the

stretch is great this is a solid piece

so next up is the astro-man okay next up

is the the Astro man

the Astro man is is actually quite

different than the way word like I said

the way word is polyester it has a

heavier feel something you may wear in

maybe the slightly cooler months the

Astro man is mostly nylon with some

spandex so the the feel on the skin is

much softer this is really really light

you can tell there's I mean barely the

slightest breeze right now and it kind

of just blows around a little bit really

lightweight shirt this is what I would

choose in the hottest months of summer

if I was going to be out all day and it

was you know 85 90 above 90 degrees this

would be the one that I would choose it

has a slightly slimmer fit slightly more

tapered in the waist and slightly more

tight-fitting in the sleeves but I find

this slightly more stretchy it has more

of a stretchy feel than the wayward so

it doesn't that that fit doesn't detract

from the functionality of the shirt at

all really great shirt this is a much

more simplistic shirt than the wayward

the Astro man has a snap closure which i

think is pretty cool it's different than

most other kind of dress you know

button-down dress shirts so snap closure

down the front it has snap closure on

the sleeves

so that's pretty cool I like that you

know no risk of ripping off a button

which happens from time to time and it

just has a single chest pocket on the

left side which also has a snap closure

again you can put something small in

there I think on the website Outdoor

Research says you could put like a

passport or something like that in there

but you won't want to play anything

heavy in there just because the shirt is

so light they would like weigh you down

it has again the same feature with the

the snap collar so if your neck is

getting burnt you can flip up the collar

and snap the neck closed but it this

this shirt in my opinion doesn't look

quite as good it doesn't look quite as

cool as the the wayward two but where

this shines is again the functionality

this shirt is is really a star when it

comes to just you know functionality

usability its versatility this is a

great shirt this you could definitely

wear rock climbing all day this where

it's got it that's where it got it named

the Astro man it's been around it's been

in the Outdoor Research lineup for years

and for good reason it's it's a great

piece you know just really functional

really light you can really move around

in this shirt easily again rock climbing

mountain biking or my main sports right

now definitely would wear this fishing

all day it's just a really good piece

has all the the great styling again the

owl store I've come to love with Outdoor

Research it has the the o our logo on

the back which I really like I've showed

you that in previous videos over the

years on a lot of their pieces I think

that's really cool but yeah the

astro-man

really solid piece and there's not much

more to say about this if you want if

you want a functional shirt one that you

would wear for more athletic activities

Vermontville research I'd go with the

astro man if you want one that just

really looks good and has a great

styling I would go with the wayward and
